Fernanda works with individuals aged 16 and over, offering evidence-based support for various relational and mental health concerns. She provides clients with a warm and safe space where they can slow down, reflect, and come to understand themselves more fully through curiosity and compassion.
Fernanda values openness and collaboration in the therapeutic relationship and works alongside clients as they explore new ways of relating to themselves and others that feel authentic and meaningful to them. At the heart of Fernanda’s work is the belief that our inner worlds are shaped by the relationships and experiences that have surrounded us.
Fernanda provides consultation in English and Brazilian Portuguese.

Fernanda’s therapeutic style is integrative, and she draws on various approaches to ensure treatment is tailored to each individual’s needs, such as:
- Acceptance Commitment Therapy (ACT)
- Psychodynamic Therapy
- Attachment Theory
- Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
- Motivational Interviewing
- CBT-I (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy for Insomnia)
- Eye-Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing Therapy (EMDR) – available from March 2026.

Referrals and Funding
- In order to see Fernanda, we require you have a referral from your GP, Specialist or Psychiatrist.
- Fernanda is a registered Medicare Provider.
- If claiming through Private health, a referral is still required.
- No other funding options available.

To help save you time, we want to be clear about when Breathe Psychology may not be the right service.
We are unable to provide support for:
-psychosis
-eating disorders and treatment under an eating disorder management plan.
-alcohol or substance use as the primary concern
-People under the age of 16
-court-related assessments, legal reports, or medico-legal matters
-services funded under TAC, WorkCover/WorkSafe, NDIS, or FAS
For some mental health conditions, a psychiatrist referral is required:
If you have a history of mania, schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, or bipolar disorder, a referral from a psychiatrist is required before engaging in our service. This helps us ensure your treatment pathway is safe, appropriate, and well supported.

Our Intake Officer and Admin Team review your information as part of our matching process. This process was developed by our Principal Clinical Psychologist to make sure matching is ethical, safe, and aligned with best practice.
