ABOUT Generalised Anxiety

Generalised Anxiety involves excessive and often uncontrollable worry about a range of day-to-to issues (e.g. work, relationships, family, finances etc).

Often this excessive worry results in physical symptoms such as increased heart rate, muscle tension, shortness of breath and/or dizziness. Other symptoms of generalised anxiety disorder include:

  • Restlessness
  • Concentration difficuties 
  • Easily fatigued
  • Irritability
  • Insomnia or other sleep disturbances

Generalised Anxiety can significantly impact an individuals ability to cope with the stress of every day life. Some individuals may even worry about their worry.

Therefore, it is important to seek professional help as soon as possible in order to work towards optimal wellbeing.
