Maddy brings an empathetic and warm approach to therapy, building a safe space for clients to feel understood. She works with adults and adolescents experiencing a range of difficulties, working collaboratively to build coping tools and strategies.

Maddy has a particular interest in perinatal mental health and has worked with women and families experiencing anxiety and depression during pregnancy and postpartum period. Additionally, Maddy has supported families through infertility and IVF, as well as provided vital support through miscarriage and stillbirth.

    Therapeutic Approaches

    Maddy uses a trauma-informed approach in treating mental health issues. She uses a range of therapeutic modalities based on the client’s presentation and needs, including:

    • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
    • CBT-E for eating disorders
    • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT)
    • EMDR (available from August 2024)

      Academic Qualifications
      • Bachelor of Criminology/Psychological science – Deakin University

      • Master of Professional Psychology – Australian Catholic University

      Referrals and Funding
      • In order to see Maddy, we require you have a referral from your GP, Specialist or Psychiatrist.  
      • Maddy is a registered Medicare Provider. 
      • If claiming through Private health, a referral is still required. 
      • No other funding options available. 
      More About Maddy

      In her spare time Maddy enjoys reading, cooking with her family and participating in one of her many “old lady” hobbies (knitting, cross-stitch etc.).
